Swiss Commission for Polar and High Altitude Research
This Commission serves as a strategic body for the Swiss community in polar and high altitude research and represents their scientific interests nationally as well as internationally. In order to promote young talents, it awards the Prix de Quervain.
Promotion of young talents
The Swiss Commission for Polar and High Altitude Research is engaged in the promotion of young scientists in two ways:
- Interest representation: as a permanent guest, the Swiss Committee of APECS (Association of Polar Early Career Scientists) can shape the Commission's work.
- Prix de Quervain: the Commission awards this prize for outstanding Master's, PhD or postdoctoral work. More
